The Exceptional Student Education (ESE) department provides support for a continuum of services, in a variety of settings, for Students with Disabilities (SWD) who are eligible for special education services in Manatee County.
Students with Individual Education Plans (IEP) are supported based on their individual needs. Many services are provided at school. We also collaborate with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), and with discretionary programs such as Florida Inclusion Network (FIN), Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS), and the Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET).
