  • Here's a handy checklist to help parents and students prepare for school.

     

    2024-2025 School Calendar
    The first day of school for students is Monday, August 12, 2024.
    Review the calendar for important dates.

    Registration for New Students
    Students returning from last year are automatically re-enrolled.
    Registration is only required for students that are new to the District.

    FOCUS Parent Portal Account
    Do you have a FOCUS Parent Portal Account?
    You need it to access your student’s grades, bus schedule and other class-related information.
    Multiple students can be associated with the same account. 
    To access FOCUS from your mobile phone, download the MySDMC Focus app.

    Annual Bio-Form in FOCUS
    Beginning 7/29/24, enrolling parents should login to their FOCUS Parent Portal Account, and complete the annual Bio-Form for each student.

    Update Contact Information
    To receive important messages, don’t forget to update contact information in FOCUS.

    Please add the following to your Contacts list:

    • School’s phone number

    Immunizations
    Make sure your student’s immunization records are up-to-date.

    Register to Ride
    Students that want to ride a school bus must Register to Ride.
    Each student must be registered individually.

    Breakfast and Lunch Programs
    SchoolCafé provides all meal information in one convenient place.
    Parents can view menus & nutritional information, make a payment, and apply for free or reduced price meal benefits.

    Breakfast is FREE for all students again this year. 
    Lunch is free for students attending Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools, so their parents do NOT need to complete a meal benefit application.

    School Supply Lists
    Check individual school websites.

    Before and After School Programs
    Individual schools offer different Extended Day Enrichment Programs (EDEP).

    Review SDMC Policies with your student, including the Code of Student Conduct and Social Media Guidelines.
