Out-of-Zone Transfers

  • Out-of-zone Transfers allow a student to enroll in a public school other than their zone-assigned school in the School District of Manatee County (SDMC). Families who have moved out-of-zone and want their child(ren) to remain enrolled at their current school, or experiencing a change such as listed here may apply for an Out-of-zone Transfer.

Out-of-zone Transfer approval is based on class size and/or school capacity, demonstration of genuine need, and student history (attendance, discipline, and academic).

Out-of-zone Transfer applications are reviewed in the order they are received. To avoid delays, make sure the student's address and enrolling parent email is correct in Focus BEFORE you submit the application.

Results are emailed to the enrolling parent listed in FOCUS.
