Applying for Free & Reduced Meal Benefits

  • Any student enrolled in a Manatee County Public School may apply for the free and reduced lunch program.

    • Only one household application needs to be completed per family, including foster children
    • Foster children are categorically eligible for free meals. They should be part of the family application
    • Blank paper applications are available in English and Spanish. They are located at your schools’ main office
    • Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year
    • Once an application is processed Food and Nutrition Services will mail a letter notifying the parent/guardian of the student’s lunch status
    • If your child goes to one of the following Community Eligibility Program (CEP) schools they will receive FREE breakfast and lunch everyday - no free and reduced application is needed

Community Eligibility Program

  • This year 24 school sites are participating in a new program called Community Eligibility Program or CEP. 

    The Community Eligibility Program (CEP) provides an alternative approach for offering school meals to local schools and schools based on former free & reduced student numbers, instead of collecting individual applications for free and reduced price meals.

    What this means is that all students at the schools listed below will receive free breakfast and lunch.
