Early Admission (SCF, USF)
Early admission is a form of dual enrollment through which eligible secondary students enroll at SCF or USF on a full-time basis in courses that are creditable toward the high school diploma and the associate or baccalaureate degree. A student must enroll in a minimum of 12 college credit hours per semester and may not enroll in more than 15 college credit hours. Grades earned through early admission are used in both the cumulative high school grade point average and the college grade point average calculations.Dual Enrollment (SCF, USF, MTC)
Dual enrollment courses are courses taught to high school students for which the students receive both high school and college credit. This coursework may not exceed 11 credit hours per semester. Grades earned though dual enrollment are used in both the cumulative high school grade point average and the college grade point average calculations. MTC and SCF students take courses on the college campus. USF students take courses on the college campus and/or at their high school.Accelerated Dual Enrollment (SCF)
Accelerated Dual Enrollment (ADE) is a form of dual enrollment through which eligible public high school students in grade 11 and 12 enroll at SCF on a full-time basis. This accelerated option allows the student to concurrently complete high school graduation requirements and college AA degree by attending classes, and receiving guidance related to college course work, at the SCF. Grades earned though ADE are used in both the cumulative high school grade point average and the college grade point average calculations.
Students must visit their high school’s website for additional information specific to their school’s dual enrollment processes.
