The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) requires that a Read at Home Plan is provided to parents of any Kindergarten through 3rd Grade (K-3) student who has been identified as having a substantial deficiency in reading.
The School District of Manatee County (SDMC) has also compiled resources connected to the essential components of reading – oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Both resources are available in a digital format here. A printed copy will be provided by the school upon parent request.
